Sheriff Capwell
originally established the Posse to “have a group of cowboys to help look for
missing people.” That original goal has
evolved into a well trained group of volunteers who are not only available for
search and rescue, but routinely aid with crowd control at large events
throughout the year including the County’s annual Fair held in Pike every August.

The Posse is currently under the direction
of *Captain Mike Marks and *Lieutenant
John Copeland. Information about Posse
activities and membership can be found at the Posse’s web site – www.wcsmu.com
or by calling the Sheriff’s Office.
